Pain on PD Drain

I am new to PD. Does the pain eventually go away while draining or do you have to put up with it. The last drain of the day is almost unbearable. Any hints using hard chair should I try to lay down, sit on a pillow or just shoot my self? This is my 5th day of PD

Am I right to assume you are doing manual PD?  It's different on the cycler.

You get used to it after a while.  It's common, but it's not something everybody gets.  From what I remember (because it's been 14 years since I started PD), it's bad at first, but your body gets used to it.  I found that the manual exchanges weren't quite as bad, since it uses gravity and just stops, but the cycler will pull if it's not getting the amount it thinks it should be getting.  If that's the case, I'd have the nurse either change your settings so it doesn't try to pull as much or look into changing your solution strengths
