Old Article - The Patient as a Profit Center

Reading an old article I found on the Patient Advocate site pm the Patient as a Profit Center made perfect sense of the business model for most every Dialysis Center. These places exist not to care for us, but care for us as a means to make a LOT of money. Medicare controls costs limiting profits to some extent, but NON-Medicare Patients, those with Private Insurance bear a very much higher treatment cost. The article spells out many things we patients never realize. I found it very enlightening.
