Storment Poem

Storment!
Feeling lost at sea.
Swell surging
White caps curl
The ocean sways.
Swirling currents swish me around
Pounding roaring surf
Roars inland.
Tearing for shore
Waves part
And dance upon the rock
That sits in the water.
Still and calm.
Waves pound on it.
I ride the surf for all I am worth
Grabbing the rocky precipice
As the selfish waves
attack my feet again.
Tugging on me
trying to reclaim me.
Breathe in, breathe out
I catch my raspy breath
Respite in a sea of tumult.

Heads Up! Incoming!
There is one,
A pretty rock.
Pick it up.
Throw it
As hard as you can!
God doesn’t mind
If you throw rocks at him.
As long as you throw
The pretty ones.
I tie my anxiety to a pretty rock
And heave it towards heaven.
I hope the angels duck
As it flies through the air
Towards its destination.
My prayers.
I throw my prayers
as rocks towards heaven.
Heavy and laden with troubles.
Maybe God builds things
With my rocks.
I have sent enough of them.
Heads up heaven
Incoming!

Tremendous poems, Kitkatz.
I was watching a video about the life of Jesus this evening, and there was the part about when He was in the boat and there was a storm. Then I went to bed and dreamt I was in a boat, and you guessed it! there was a storm. I just wake, come to IHD, check out this poem and here I am, in a storm on sea again.
Just thankful that Jesus is in my boat!
