My clinic started preparations for Hurricane Irma yesterday.  I have been so incredibly busy...  We are closing on Monday and running our MWF patients on Sunday for short shifts.  If we need to close on Tuesday as well, we will run everyone on Wednesday.  That means we open at 5 and close at about 9 pm.  I am not looking forward to that... Please say a prayer for everyone in the path of Irma!  This one looks bad!

My thoughts are with you and all the others in Irma's path.  Stay safe as you help others stay well.

Stay safe and I hope you are able to reopen on Wednesday. This storm looks really bad for southern Florida.

Prayers that this cold high pressure front we have here in the mid-West moves farther South and causes Irma to make a hard turn ENE or at least NNE moving up off the eastern coast far enough off shore that the winds will be much much less.

Thank you for putting your life at risk.  Not everyone would do that.  Prayers to you for the extreme energy you will need.  Stay safe.

The smoke has cleared a "little" today.  We can take a breath because it is coming back on Monday.

Everything turned out fine.  A few people in the area lost power, but that is about it.  Sunday went well and today has run smoothly so far.  We opened late today and will run short treatments.  We had to wait to open for technical to come in and deem the building, water room and machines safe.  So today will be a little hectic, but should go smoothly.

Funny enough, Sunday night my hubby and I went to Petsmart to browse.  Not a smart idea when you are both animal lovers... I went back on Saturday and adopted a 4 month old tabby cat.  He is very sweet and energetic!  We named him Hugo since Irma was bearing down and Hugo is one of the worst hurricanes to come through our area.  My dog and Hugo are starting to get to know each other.  Heather, my dog, wants to play and cries when Hugo runs away.  Hugo likes to stalk Heather and bat at her paws.  I have never had a cat before, so any tips would be great!  I am loving being a cat mom so far, though!

That's so cool, adopting a cat.  Have cat treats and distractions like strings on the go to wear him out.  Glad your clinic made it ok.

Glad to hear you and your center is doing well.  We are cat people but I don't have any advice other than to keep the litter clean..
