there is this one tech
that joined the center after the new year
never felt a good vibe  about her
where i wouldnt let her put me on
today.. i totally hurt her feelings....
she said i will go ahead and put you on
and she was talking about my son for he never had a problem
well geeze dont judge my son... were talking about me
my son  when he was on dialyis( he got his transplant in march)
he never  complain,,, my son is very quiet where he doesnt speak his mind
and when he does he can be yelling.... but very seldome
well any how this tech  had the needle in her hand and omg... she had that dang thing strenght up making it look like she was going to jam in streght up.. and i told her no.. she got another tech that i really like and the other tech look at me with a grin like she was going to cry.. and she left the room and came back... and i ended up talking to this one patients wife and to find out her husband doesnt like that one tech and she even mention my son name to them... the patients wife said  you have no right to judge which is true....the manager of the center was in this morning but left right before i got on the machine other wise i would had talked to her... the head nurse was there and i told him, i didnt mean to hurt her feelings and he said but you did..... but we do have a mind as well to speak it....... im not going to sit there in pain... for you always have to listen to your intutions

If a tech is upset because one patient is difficult the tech is in the wrong job.  It's your body and your health your right to decide.  When I started I sat next to a crazy lady, who would try and bite techs she didn't like. Compared to her what you did is so minor I wouldn't worry about it.  Next time you go tell the manager that you were uncomfortable with your tech and you just wanted to be stuck by some one else.

Sometimes you just gotta work with what you got......

There is one tech that I used to hate getting-not only was she a bit rough, but she was rather homely as well. But, one day I came in and she was the only one available, so I did my best to make her more confident, explained exactly what I needed. and I went out of my way to be friendly to her. And, believe it or not, she was a LOT better that day. Today, I would ask for her of about half of the techs, if I had the choice.
