Talkers oil painting

« on: June 10, 2015, 08:19:59 AM »

Seasons of year come and go. The same with forum moderators.
Not all folks are cut out to function as a 'moderator'.
Is at times a wonderful job.
Other times become 'oh woe is me' or 'hell with it' event.
There are numerous hours doing ''behind the scenes' activity.
This, especially, these days, with the heavy attacks by spammers
How to handle this or that start of a topic war. How does  one spot a troll?
At what point and how far 'into' it before one gets banned!
Decisions, decisions, decisions!
Than there is job activity earning a living, raising a family, chores in and around the house.
Days of 'not feeling well'.
Doctor visits, hospital stays, dentist visits, driving events, little leagues coaching, and dozens of family activities.
Oh time, where have you flown too!
So to all the Moderators here 'Thank You'

Thanks for the reminder! I know I take our moderators for granted. This is wrong.

Thank you!  :flower;

Very well put Talker.

I, like most all 'readers', haven't a clue as to what is involved in moderating any of the many forums that I am a member of.

I'm sure it IS a job, often thankless.  So I'm sure the Mods do appreciate a bit a recognition.  As we don't know the hours they spend reading through ALL the threads, even the ones that they may not have any interest in still need to be read, line by line, to keep the forum clean and on track, with no unsuitable language as we do not need to offend one another, much less any of the untold  non-members that browse our site prior to deciding to join.

If I drank beer I offer one up to the Mods in Thanks, but I'll have to settle for a tall glass of ice water.  Good stuff on a day like today here in mid-Missouri.

Thanks Mods for a job well done, even more so because we can't see how hard and how much time you put into this place.

Take Care,

Charlie B
