Burried Catheter??

Hello!

My Neph told me this week that since I decided I want to do PD, that she wants me to get the catheter put in and "burried" so that when it's time to start dialysis it'll already be in and they'll just need to cut it out from under my skin. Has anyone ever heard of or done this?  I was under the impression that once the catheter is put in you have to start using it within 10-14 days. I'm currently at 11% and she said I'll start D at 10%.
