Life is like a box of chocolates. Enjoy each bite

So far my experience with dialysis has been good 13th treatment completed.  I'm up to 15 gauge needles (never thought I'd do it) and next day usually have more energy- appetite good - labs good (dietician even said I can add peanuts back in to get protein up and have some OJ or a banana! Couldn't believe my ears!  I only gain 2lbs of fluid between treatments and maintain a conservative fluid intake.  Maybe giving my kidney a break with the dialysis is making it work better or it's the prayers or both.  When I feel sad -  I look outside and see God's creations and smile and appreciate it more - it could be worse.  Getting used to my routine and few restrictions. Now don't get me wrong - dialysis itself is the pits.  I see others who have a hard time with it and my heart aches for them.  Life does go on and what you do with it is up to you - when its your time then its your time.  I know there will be bad days to come and I'll deal with it when they do - but not today. :)
