:sos; So my little brother is having issues tasting things, and my mom and myself are having an even harder time making foods that he can enjoy. So I need your guys' help finding recipes and coming up with new ideas that he'll be able to eat AND taste. So far we've found that he can taste lemon, lime, peppers (hot and sweet), pineapple, and strawberries. We've got a bunch of Mrs. Dash seasonings, which he has been enjoying over pasta and chicken mostly. If anyone has any ideas that would be much appreciated!!!

pianoflute2:  Interesting you bring this up because I've been trying to learn how my husband can keep his mouth from being too dry without drinking more fluid. In the process, I think I read something about how keeping your mouth moist will help improve taste/taste buds. Seems the two (moist mouth and taste buds) work hand-in-hand. My husband sucks on ice cubes. He also likes frozen grapes. Biotene mouth spray also helps him and hard candies (he has to have sugarless tho, he's diabetic). I also cook using a variety of salt-free seasonings and spices and natural flavors, for instance, onions. And spicy food makes the mouth water too. He loves tobasco sauce and horseradish. Good luck, hope you find something that works for your brother.

He went back to doing in-center July 2016.
After more than 150 days of being hospitalized with complications from Diabetes, my beloved husband's heart stopped and he passed away 06-08-21. He was only 63.
