I haven't asked my center but will if someone here doesn't know the name, does anyone know the name of the protein bars that dialysis centers use? They come in flavors like gramcrakker chocolate, chocolate fudge, chocolate carmel, and mmy favorite strawburry yogert.
Thanks.

Is this it? http://astronutrition.com/met-rx-big-100-food-bar-choc-chip-graham-cracker-12-bars.html although I don't see it's phosphorus listed. Here's another http://zoneperfect.com/products/ZonePerfect-Classic-Strawberry-Yogurt but be sure to double check because I'm not sure these are renal friendly.

I'm using the MyNetDiary database to look up the phosphorus for those bars.
The Big100 choc chip Graham Cracker is  (per bar)
Phosphorus(P)    60mg
Potassium(K)    610mg

The Zone Perfect (blueberry version, rather than strawberry) is (per bar)
Phosphorus(P)    200mg
Potassium(K)    125mg
That info is from the company.  A user of the MyNetDiary (someone somewhere) has contributed values for the strawberry bar which are  (per bar)
Phosphorus(P)    200mg
Potassium(K)    75mg

My center uses ZONE.

Also, they have some bars @ Target that are cheaper and very comparable.  Some are even better for you than Zone.

The strawberry yogart and chocolate chip mint are WONDERFUL.

My center uses Zone Perfect, strawberry yogurt flavor.  They're very good.  I follow it with a binder.

I am low on protein so I'm trying the ZONE "Fudge Gram" it is good.  I take a binder with it.  It has 14g of protein.  They were 4 for $5 at the store.

Since this thread was started in 2012 does anyone have any other good protein bars that we can have?  I'm looking at Isagenix lemon bars.

we use Zone Bars or the Generics that they sell @ Target.  Walmart also carries Zone; but not many flavors...personnally; I like the strawberry yogurt.
