Dr. Appointment
«

I had a random Dr appointment today. I set the appointment because my internal med doc wants to see me regularly. That way if disability has questions, he has seen me fairly recently.
So today.....
I went in with usual soreness. My hands hurt still. He is referring me to another surgeon for consult about the blocked ulnar nerves in my elbows.
I told him no other surgery until Dr. McVey puts everything together and I am healed from it.
My wound is healing well. Victor has been packing it every day and it has healed from 5 centimeters up to barely needing to be packed.
The hand sore is healing up. Just a few spots and it will be healed.
The doctor seems pleased with my progress. He says I have a fairly strong constitution to have come this far.
He also says it will take time for me gain full recovery status.
He gave me nerve meds to help with the hand pain at night.
He also renewed several prescriptions for me, so now the meds list is growing longer.

I know that the med list growing longer isn't the best news but the good news is a) healing well b) you have a strong constitution. So, we'll all focus on that!

I know you hate getting more meds and so do most of us, but you sound better and look better already. Sometimes, and this is one of them, you actually amaze me.

Onward and upward one day at a time. That's all of my clichés for the day! LOL!

Strong constitution? I would have to say that is the understatement of the year.
Bravo for healing!

So happy to hear that you are doing so well. I hope the new med helps with the nerve pain. ( Good job on the wound packing, Victor!

I have been home and out of hospitals since September 5.
I have been officially off of physical therapy since mid October.
Nurse signed us off in mid October, too.
The wound on my belly is almost healed up to skin level.
My infiltration hand wound goes from almost all the way healed to red again. It seems to have mood changes but it is healing.
I am so happy not to have been back to the hospital all this time.
November 2 will be 15 years on hemo dialysis in center.

Today was orthopedic appointment for my elbow nerve pain. Probably need surgery to relax area around ulnar nerve after major surgery is finished.

Ouch, sorry Kitz, but it might work very well, and with the healing constitution period you are in now....
Good luck girl, and keep strong.
Lots of love, Cas
