The Boston Marathon tragedy hit close to home for me yesterday. My wife works in the city of Boston and I had to drive in to pick her up because she was too afraid to take the train last night. This got me thinking, how prepared am I for a disaster or terrorist attack? I really don't even know how to prepare besides making sure I have extra solution and supplies in my car in case I get stuck somewhere for a day or two. What do you do to prepare? I think we all should prepare to be without food, water, our supplies, and assistance for a few days.

In the past week we have been snowed in twice (2 different storms). first time 2 days, this time it's been 2 days so far. We have lots of food in the house, We should probably get a hand pump for our well so we have water even without power.
