My friend Amy, who donated a kidney to a friend's mom she knew on twitter, was interviewed live today on "Positively Speaking Radio."
I heard Amy mention Jenna so I called in to the show and Bill Poett, the host, offered HIS KIDNEY to Jenna. I still have goosebumps! You never know where your miracle will come from!
Here's the show recorded earlier today:

That's fantastic! I totally flaked on her #kidneychat on twitter last week. We've been corresponding via email. I am in love with her project.
And I am doing a happy dance that he made an offer. I hope things come through for Jenna soon.

He actually already called the transplant team. He is blood type B+ and Jenna is O, but you never know, he might do a swap for her, or he may go on to donate to someone else. This guy is the real deal. It's really inspiring.

I just saw Amy posted that a second person has come forward for Jenna! I am so excited for you both.
And don't forget your pals over here on the East coast and send any extra donors our way

Amazing, Karol! Any updates? I am so damn impressed with you, picking up that phone and advocating for Jenna like that. I doubt I would have been able to think straight or speak coherently if this were my child being discussed.
Has he been in contact with you at all? Would you mind if I write him an email about this? Gwyn would like to offer to chat with him, or even meet with him (since he's right here in Santa Barbara apparently!) if he would like to know more about the donation process. As much as I want this for Jenna, you know I'd never pressure the man, I just want to let him know that he's touched even this cynical old transplant veteran.

If I had not listened to it again, I would have no idea what I said, I was crying (again.)
I did hear from Bill Poett on facebook. I thanked him for his offer and he responded:
"If one if my girls was sick I'd pray for the same thing, seems like if I'm going one day ask for something I'd better be willing to give it . Now lets find a match for Jenna!"
The show has been downloaded over 15,000 times. Bill is asking for people to share it, hoping to get 20,000 listens by his birthday next week.
