What to do?

I have no physical support network. I have a wife with many serious medical conditions like myself. Sometimes she is in such great pain or illness that I need to skip treatment to take her to the Immediate Care Center or to the E.R. When I do this I call the center and I tell them. I also tell them when I have to go myself. This morning I was told that if I miss once more I will be put on third shift. I told them bluntly that if you take me off of first shift for any reason I will stop coming. For those of you that don't know me; for some reason third shift puts me in such a funk that I slip into a bad depression. I would rather switch dialysis companies, go to the E.R., or die then go back to being that depressed.

I'm not looking for advice but don't let that stop you.I just needed to vent.

Were you threatened with this before or was that someone else? I just don't understand why this is the threat they use. By taking away your preferred time you will be more compliant? Or your wife will be less sick? I don't get it. Bunch of jerks.

Yeah, that was me. They love to threaten me this way.

They threaten us by saying "if you miss one more time we will take you off the transplant list".  Reason number 345 why I'm not on the transplant list.  They are not going to use that against me.

There are people who miss who call at the last minute.  I think that is wrong because they waste all those supplies.  I at least call in advance if I can.  But, sometimes you don't know until the last minute.
