Yesterday was a so so day at my dialysis session.I came very close in wanting to QUIT going to dialysis forever.All because of one tech
was rather mean/hateful toward me.All because I needed to use the restroom.The tech was not my regular tech.My regular tech was busy doing something else.This hateful tech made me feel like I should QUIT going to dialysis forever.Have anyone else felt this way at all.Luckily I don't have to see this hateful tech till late next week.Should I report this tech's bad behavior toward me or just forget the whole thing.
Sincerely yours,
Sandi

what did she do??

I have had hateful, rude techs and nurses... I ended up stopping dialysis, but after two weeks, i went into a hospital, got set up with a new clinic... but if its just one tech, maybe go to the higher up and say something

Report ugly behavior in writing to the clinic.

When I come across a person like that I say "Wow, you're really having a bad day huh?"  that usually flips the switch and changes their attitude to a pleasant one. Never fails.  I  personally have only had one "lazy" tech that just didn't want to listen. I haven't seen him in weeks so hopefully he's at another clinic.
Hope this helps.

Be good to yourself when nobody else will.

First of all, I'm sorry this happened to you. It's not your fault you had to use the restroom and are tied to a chair for 4 hours. That tech needs a swift kick in the ass and get his/her act together. I would definitley say something to someone, maybe even talk to your social worker, too if it is bothering you that much. You should never be treated with disrespect by anyone, especially someone who gets PAID to take care of YOU! Take care.  :cuddle;

I would certainly speak to someone about the way you were treated. That is not right.
When I was in center,I almost always had to go after 2 hours on the machine. I went before I went on the machine but sure enough, 2 hours later, I'd have to go again!
Don't quit just because 1 tech is too lazy to want to do their job.   :cuddle;
