Blood in my urine, what's going on there?

I've crapped thunder in a year 10 class, and sh@t bricks when a Lebanese border guard stuck a machine gun in my face. Now it seems I'm pi$$ing blood, a lot more than I'd like to be. What's going on there?

I'd say you need to be seen so they can see what is going on.

Hubby's had that experience when he had to take warfarin after an IV line caused some blockage in one of his arm veins - not his fistula but they wanted to get it cleaned out in case he needs the access in the future.

The second time was after he was having some clotting problems during his runs and his heparin was increased.

So if you're on any blood thinners, might be a dosage thing?

Mr. Pink, I would definately have it checked out.  Something is causing it and it could be very serious and yet it may be nothing.  Please do not take chances with it.  Get it checked and put all our minds at ease!!!!

Especially if you are seeing an abundance of it.  Just be safe and get it looked at.   PLEASEEEEEE!

I started peeing blood while on warfarin after I had a DVT blood clot.  It would even happen when I wasn't urinating it would just leak out.  I would definitely suggest getting it looked at right away I do believe when our kidneys fail most times the blood is microscopic so can't really be seen.  Wouldn't mess around with it though talk to the doctor right away.  Good luck.

I saw the doctors today, with a somewhat dark 24 hour urine sample. They did bloods on me as well. Other than my blood pressure (which is still a bit high) everything else seems to be improving. Hopefully it is nothing. I'm not on Warfarin and I don't have polycystic kidneys. Hopefully it is nothing. The doctor didn't seem too bothered. I feel okay, well, maybe a little tired. I can't rave enough about the hospital looking after me. The nurses in the dialysis ward are amazing. If I get a phone call tomorrow, then I guess it might be bad news. My next dialysis is on Wednesday, so hopefully they'll have good news for me then, which is to say that it's nothing serious.

I'm glad they're checking you out. Yes, if you had Polycystic kidneys then that would be a reason for blood in your urine. Glad to hear you don't have PKD though!

I have Alports. But the best news is that the blood is gone. My numbers are improving and I'm feeling ok. I'm feeling energetic enough to go and cause mayhem somewhere! I guess I'll find out what the blood was about tomorrow hopefully when I dialyse next.

I had a period when my nephroligist took me off lisinopril, and put me on amlodopine for about 1 month. My blood pressure shot up through the roof, my legs swelled, and I started passing urine. Oh, and my blood work went downhill. Put me back on lisinopril, and everything went back to nearly normal.

My husband is going through the same thing. he has been on PD for 3 years and does not pee only dribbles now and again. His started 3months ago, scary. He had cultures done on the samples and a CT scan. We have just come from the hospital and they were going to flush his bladder out but there is too much shi* in it, he will have to be  anesthetized   for them to sort it out.  That means another months wait. He has a really bad heart so being anesthetized may not be an option. They explained that when you pee you remove all the crap from your bladder, when you don't  pee all the crap stays in and rubs the bladder causing a build up and could cause infection. Apparently this is normal in dialysis patients. it never stops does it.Do not delay in getting this sorted out. It may be nothing at all.
