Fistula Shock

Yesterday I got the second-stage surgery for a new fistula. This morning, in the bathroom, I took my shirt off and was shocked. The cut stretches from the mid-arm to the armpit. The armpit! Boy, I'm going to stink at dialysis today because I can't get in there and clean it.

Sliced and diced, huh? Well, at least you'll only be bad on one side!

Yep, I had the same shock when I got mine done, was told about a four inch scar incision which I thought was ad enough.
