I learn a super trick from a former member who has since passed away, Lightlizard...RIP.

He told me that to get your mouth rehydrated start with your tongue on the outside of your upper teeth and pass it all the way across them from one side to the other. Then do the outside of your lower teeth. Finally pass your tongue across the inside of your upper teeth and the inside of your lower teeth.

It really helps.

Nov 5, 2011 - diagnosed with ESRD, unknown cause
Nov 14, 2011 - PD catheter insert
Nov 15, 2011 - Started PD
Oct 11, 2012 - received a kidney from my mom, 3/6 match
-kidney wasn't filtering properly. 2nd surgery 4 days later to re-position kidney. Accident happened and kidney got damaged. Internally bleed 1.5 L and needed a transfusion. 3rd surgery to sew up the damaged kidney.
-anaphylactic shock to thymoglobulin
-ATN and rejection
-sleepy kidney waiting to recover

i chew a lot of gum. and i hear sugarless gumcan cause thyroid cancer or something, hope not though
they don't like us to chew ice since that is extra fluid. one lady here would sneak a large cup of ice in and they couldnt figure out why they couldnt pull any weight off her

thanks everyone for the tips.  it was just one of those days. feelin like a freight train.  water is such a simple thing, but you can know it's true value only when you can't have it.
