One has to really wonder what happens at the Corporate level of the dialysis world. A good example is those at the top working towards decreasing infections acquired --- however, the inspection reports continued (California) to show that staff are not implementing correct practices --- Are these individuals and those at the government level, spinning their wheels and reinventing the bigger wheel? Simple solutions to the problems --- quite simple, in fact
***Evaluate the existing training/education programs and develop new ones
***Evaluate the effectiveness of the unit level superivsion and if not working, retrain those in the supervisory position
As always, I am sure that those delivering care would NOT want to receive some of the care that some of the patients receive in some of the units.
