I don't want to be Debbie Downer, but this story is very interesting. Of course we will never know exactly what happened, but I think the moral of the story is 'your boss is not necessarily your friend, or even a moral person'.

Boyfriend diagnosed with renal failure Feb. 2011. Cause unknown.
PD Catheter "installed" June 30, 2011.
Began CAPD August 11, 2011.
On transplant list 11/23/11.
Started Liberty Cycler 12/1/11.

I believe in hearing both sides of the story, and I agree, we will never know what exactly happened.

In my career so far, I've had one boss that was very understanding and kind hearted.  The others, well, I'll put it nicely and say they are nowhere near that kind.  Sometimes I think bosses are soooo far into doing their work that they forget that there are actual humans that work under them.

I'm shocked that a transplant team would approve this donor to donate under these circumstances, as there was clearly an imbalance of power in the relationship.
