They recently increased my bp meds, they are making me sleepy. They tell me to take them before bed which I do but I still wake up sleepy, if I just take one, I'm fine. The bp med I take is licenapril, if I take 2 like I'm suppose to I feel like my hg is low which it's at 12 so that's not low but I think it is the licenapril that is making me sleepy, is there any bp med out there that doesn't have the drowsy sideaffects?

Lisinopril is supposed to be one that doesn't make you feel drowsy or energy-less. You could start feeling sleepy if your BP drops too low, though. Are you measuring your BP at home?

I don't think I always have a lot to add, but here is my  :twocents; I am on Lisinopril, take it in the morning.  Wake up around 4:20 am, work for my personal business for 1.5 hours, then go to the real job, the one that pays the bills.  Done around 5:00 pm. Back to bed around 9:00ish. The Lisinopril does not seem to make me drowsey.  I am pre "D" with GFR around 30. Sounds like something else may be the culprit...

Clonidine totally makes you sleepy. I don't know if lisinopril does. Definitely discuss it with your doc. And don't plan any long drives.
