It'sdefinately something that they need to know in advance of you getting 'the call. '.
Yeah, I guess that's kinda important.
LOL!

Yay! No colonoscopy!
So glad to hear this isn't something you'll have to do for a while. Maybe when you get your transplant done they can do a 2-fer and knock out the colonoscopy too (I kid, I kid).
I'm still sending positive thoughts your way!

So glad it all worked out. I had my colonoscopy prior to getting listed and recently heard from the insurance company that if they couldn't get a copy of the colonoscopy from the transplant team, they would take a copy of the "self test" (I'm sure you know what I mean ....) where you mail in samples for study. Of course the transplant team had BOTH (because I had done both), but that would've been my hope for you if necessary. (Being able to get 'the kit' from your doctor to mail in the samples, etc. Glad it turned out not to need anything more than a letter !!

this is after the fact, but once i had a doctor say to me (after I'd described repeated episodes of alarm-raising and never-diagnosed chest pain) "well, at least you have a history now".
You've had repeated bad episodes with post-anesthesia complications - but at least it's a history! You've survived every one, and that is a very good prognosis that you will continue to do so! Of course, you still want to try to avoid these awful complications. And my prayer is that you can do so. I'm always on your side MM, and I so admire your determination to do the very best for yourself and others too.

That's so kind of you to say, fearless. And you are right...I've survived despite the complications. Thank you for reminding me of that!
