When I  was first diagnosed as having CKD I attended a class at the University.
We were all given a binder with tons of information. This binder had many lists of
what you could eat (Veggies, Fruits, Meats etc.)
The list of Fruits allowed said we could eat Grapefruit as long as we don't
consume any of the Juice.
My question to you all is, How do you eat Grapefruit without consuming the Juice ??????

I usually see it written as "Grapefruit (not juice) - 1 half". You can eat half a grapefruit, but they tell you not to drink grapefruit juice because it's easy to drink too much. Half a grapefruit only has about 3 ounces of juice.

Now, that's with regard to potassium. Grapefruit in any form interacts with a whole lot of medications, including transplant medications and some blood pressure meds, so you need to ask your doctor or pharmacist about your medications before you go eating grapefruit.

I stay away from grapefruit anything,  as Restorer says, it interacts with some blood pressure meds (and usually warns you of that right on the label of the bottle.
