well, i had my surgery on friday. and yes i am in pain. i feel so uncomfortable. sore mostly. the pd nurse said it all looked good today when i went in to get my flush. it only lasted about  30 minutes. and most of that was her talking to me about what to expect. i am kind of foggy due to being on pain meds. put she did tell me the flush looked great barely any pink. i am still trying to get use to my tummy bulging out. does that go down at all? and how long before i can actually walk around with out feeling uncomfortable. it is uncomfortable to laydown too. i think that is because that is all i did since friday and my back hurts.

I don't have any experience, and therefore no advice, with PD surgery, but I did want to tell you that I am hoping the worst is over.  It's great news that the nurse was pleased with how things went.

I hope you get some well deserved rest.   :cuddle;

rileysmom,   :welcomesign;  A few days and you will  feel fine, don't forget you have had surgery and the anesthetist stuff takes time to get out of your system. Your tummy will bilge and feel swollen, especially when you have the fluid in it but that is also some thing you will learn to live with. I wish you luck with your PD, it is scary to start with, but it wont take long to get the hang of it . Feel free to ask  questions and learn as much about it as yo can.

It will ease up as you go, I don't notice mine at all now. And as far as your belly protruding, you did just have surgery and you are swollen. That gets better too. I don't even notice when I have fluid in any more.
