... I would like to read more about Zach and his work and perhaps have a chance to see one of his films one day ?

I know he had been working on a film called "Unconditional Love, the Documentary" because I gave a donation toward the production costs.

I am not sure what the current status is.  I've looked at their Facebook page but find no notice that the film has been either completed or aired.  If anyone has seen it or has any more current news about it, please let us know.  Thanks!

With your kind help I could "do" my research and found his name, his documentary films and also his favourite quotes:

1) A man's word is his most precious possession.

2) Living a life, not an apology.

Zach certainly was a remarkable person, an example to us all and he is very much missed.

Zach Richter worked for the late night ABC News program, Nightline, before forming the Corporation for Educational Radio and Television (CERT) in 1984.

I heard from his sister today. She has been emptying out his apartment. It's been very hard, so many memories.
She said, "One good note is that all of his company's editing equipment is being donated to a great non profit here in Brooklyn, Brooklyn Academy for the Arts, which I think he would have liked."
She says she will let us know when his memorial will be.
