So I am working on my 3rd fistula a temp, this one has not died yet, this is why I still have my cath.  My first one was placed in a hospital back in May of 2010, it was comfortable and never had a problem except it just didn't flow good.  When I went in to have my 2nd fistula try, they decided to replace it at the same time.  I hate it, its longer and just seems always in the way.  Well Friday when I woke up I noticed it was sore and hurt to touch, so I mention it at dialysis.  So a trip to our surgical center that only deals with dialysis related surgeries, the took it out.  I was sedated so no biggie.  A new one will go in Monday to let some of the infection heal.  We get home and I am bleeding all over.  So back to the surgical center and they decide it needs stitches.  Since there is an infection and its tender, the numbing agent doesn't work.  Least to say it was very painful.

I am not looking forward to Monday, but no choice for sure, I need a way to do dialysis till my fistula develops.  I have a vein lift scheduled for May 2nd.  My body is tired, 9 surgery's  since August (some failed PD attempts)

Just needed to vent, some day a transplant will come again and I will get a break, been doing kidney disease since I was 21 I am now 47.

Thanks for listening.

Oh my goodness. That is an awful lot to endure.  :cuddle;

Vent away....you have earned the right.

Wish there were something I could do besides listening.

Is there no better vascular surgeon you could go to? Sorry about the problems. I hope you're better soon and things work out. {{{HUG}}}  :cuddle; :cuddle; :cuddle;
