Hey all,

As we're such an international crowd, I noticed that there sometimes seems to be some confusion around lab values, as different units are used around the globe - which I noticed first-hand when I was hospitalised in Dublin and tried to tell the drs my normal range lab test results, using the Dutch system for reference....

So, maybe it might be useful to have a topic outlining how to convert?

Here's a link to a website that shows at least some conversion factors: http://www.unc.edu/~rowlett/units/scales/clinical_data.html

So, for example, when I want to convert my hemoglobin, which in Dutch units is 6.0, I will have to divide it by 0.6206, which shows that my Hb is currently 9.7.

I will try and see if I can figure out the other most common measures as well.
