There was a thread on here about ID bracelets to show you are on D and to protect your fistulas. I was at D today and bought one from my unit ! Its red stretchy plastic (like most charity ones) and it says the following : NO BP TESTING/NEEDLES .......... +FISTULA RIGHT ARM +, in bold white capitols. I know i dont have my fistula yet but im saving my right arm for it , so im going to wear it. They also do one that states LEFT arm . It cost me a £1 and all proceeds are going to KPA. If your unit hasnt got them or heard of them , ours have been sent up from Tyneside KPA. So hassle your unit to get some in . Worried it wont be noticed? what is the first thing they do to us in hospital here (even an emergency) ..slap on a hospital ID plastic bracelet and roll your sleeve up to get a line in , so im pretty sure they will spot it .
