Just another hamster on the dialysis W.O.F.

« Reply #27 on: June 24, 2010, 04:37:24 PM »

   I am refusing to let my health problems  keep me doing what I want to do if I can somehow do it.  And I refuse to give up and stop from finding a way either.

    For those who don't know I sustained severe physical injuries which make it difficult for me to stand or walk without special boots and a cane, as well as having lost my kidneys.

I am... the star pupil?!!!

The Fresnius(sp?) person was around testing some of the nurses on their understanding of the machine and functions offered. Well they decided to use me/my machine as the guinea pig. So she was explaining Kt/V, calculating it, the settings, what it means etc etc. Well heck I ended up answering some of the questions (correctly I might add!!). WOO HOO!!!

One nurse got in trouble because she'd put me in correctly as a FEMALE!!!!  :rofl; :rofl; :rofl; :rofl; :rofl; we all had a good laugh over that one. I got a lot of mileage out of that one for the afternoon!  :rofl; :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;

I am still able to laugh.

I AM not going to let partial blindness and dialysis stop me from SEEING everything in this world that I want to see.  Next up is my nation's capital, Ottawa, and the Parliament buildings.  After that, who knows?
