This Too Shall Pass

« on: June 30, 2010, 01:31:50 PM »

Happy 4th of July to All,

Even though I will not get to enjoy all the delicious food, I am going to enjoy being around my family.  For all of those who will be traveling, have a very safe trip.  Remember your renal diets if you are on a diet and watch out for all the bad things that tries to keep us down, like the dairy products some of us can't have.  Eat sensible and enjoy.

I wish your country all the best.  Our wellbeing is very dependent upon yours.  We have a saying in the Caribbean "When America catches a cold, the Caribbean sneezes!"
I would also like to wish all our Canadian members a blessed 1st of July.  July 1st is also celebrated here in the British Virgin Islands as Territory Day, but the actual holiday wlll be tomorrow (to give us a long weekend).

Yesterday I picked my son and friends up at the beach, but to do that I had to make a u-turn off Pacific Coast Highway and in a tiny parking lot I spotted this lovely flag. Hope everyone has a great holiday!! I LOVE fireworks - can't wait! Happy birthday USA!
