Oh, please do tell us how it goes, OK?  Starting D is such a life-changing event, and there are plenty of us here who are about to experience the same new beginning, so any words from you would be much appreciated.  I hope everything goes well!

I just started HD about a month ago.  It has been interesting and a learning curve for sure.  Each time I go, I learn something new.  It really is life changing, but for the most part, I feel so much better.  My BUN was at 116, so I was pretty toxic.  It is neat to have energy again.  Good Luck!! :waving;

I can sort of relate to the relief thing. I knew for 13 years my time was coming, and in a way when they called me and said "you're starting on..." it WAS a relief, because there had been such a build up of maybe's and so on, that yeah, to have a date and to have that uncertainty taken away it was somewhat of a relief. A scary relief to be sure, but a relief. Sort of like "the decision has been made now and the time is set."

I hope it goes smoothly!

My caring thoughts are with you. Please post soon and let us know how it went.  I am remembering nearly 5 years ago when after being well prepared by my new IHD family I embarked on this challenging journey.
