In da House.

« on: April 23, 2010, 10:27:43 AM »

KEYS today to my new house !!!  :bandance; :cheer: :bow; :yahoo; In 2 weeks from now i should be in it ! OMG, how i dont know ! ive been at it every waking hour ! My sessions are going badly , my eye is going badly (the tablets they gave me turned me into a zombie so i was told to stop taking them , but they havent been replaced with anything , so now ive no pain control at all. Im shaking all the time cause i can never find time to rest now. The nurses are still bitching at me. I asked if i could come in a bit earlier = get home bit earlier as the machines are stood ready at least an hour before we are let in , the staff are ready , but despite the fact they know how hard im pushing myself they still say NO . Did Hitler have daughters?  :rofl; Ive also now had a chest x ray and waiting for a heart scan as my cough ive had for over 2 years  :o is out of control ..hello.. its my BP tablets , always has been ,always will be especially as you just doubled the dosage ..duh !
Anyway enough of that , i met the official at the house today , signed all the paperwork and got my keys! Then i actually WALKED to my mums , 6 houses down for a nice cuppa !   :2thumbsup;

Kickstart, I am so happy for you.  This has been a long road. It will be so good for you to be near relatives (even if they drive us nuts sometimes  ;) )  I hate that your sessions are going well but I am celebrating your new home.   :yahoo;    :2thumbsup;    :clap;

KS I was wondering when you were going to move, I bet you are dead chuffed. How nice to wonder down to your mums, it will make you feel alot better being near her. About the cough, Alan is the same and they have changed his BP tablets, the doc said his cough could last up to 6 months, he has also had a chest x-ray which is clear so I don't know. he is back on the machine now, well first time last night, I never slept a wink. Sorry to hear you are not doing too good at your hemo, what is the problem, I know you have problems with your eyes but what is going on with the hemo? Will you still be going to the same unit when you move?

Congratulations KS!...

I hope the move goes REALLY well for you!....

So THAT explains my cough!.... I was blaming my asthma on a niggling cough I've had for about eighteen months.... EXACTLY the time I started taking Istin for my BP... In addition to Cozar Comp, and Cardicor... No bother with those two, but since the Istin, I'm barking ro rival a pack of hounds!!!... Thanks KS... Much appreciate the info!....

God bless....

Yeah Darth & BB BP tablets are notorious for giving you a non stop cough ! but they are always the last thing a neph will admit too ! Way back just to prove a point i stopped taking mine for a week , and my cough had all but gone , then i restarted on them ..et voila back it came ! Trouble is you cant not take them , im sick of the looks i get going round shops , on the phone etc ..cough,cough,cough.
If i win the lottery i will fly you all here ..or limo for those just up the road  :rofl; and we will have a great house warming party !

I'll hold you to that, KS....

But, erm, what have the neighbours EVER done to you to deserve us landing upon them!!!!!....

Hope the move goes VERY well, and that you and the hounds are VERY happy!....

Love...

Good to hear you're moving in in a couple of weeks.

How long do you think it will take to unpack? I moved to my new house 3½ years ago and I still haven't fully unpacked.

Life's a bitch and then you go on dialysis!

« Reply #12 on: April 24, 2010, 05:40:11 PM »

Kickstart are you taking an ace inhibitor like Enalapril or Ramapril as a tickly cough is the prime side affect of these drugs.There are others which don't cause a cough for instance Candasarten but in some people it raises potassium levels. If your still passing urine a diuretic like Frusamide can work as a BP tablet.

So glad you are finally moving. It will be one heck of a job. Wish I could help, but, well, you know. Dont kill yourself un packing. We have been in our house for 7 years now, and Bob ( Mr. Packrat ) still has unpacked boxes. I just ignore them.
