Guys If I get some of my parathyroid glands taken out [before transplant], will I have to take certain medicines for the rest of my life after a kidney transplant?

I'm curious about this

Thanks

The purpose is to AVOID medications.

You should consult with an endocrinologist who works with a transplant team to get a real answer.  The issue is "will your PTH go down after transplant".   The surgeon who took mine out said "they never shrink back once they are 1cm or larger".
