I just need to vent about life right now. I'm sorry to complain but I can't hold it in any more.

So I have lost 2 patients this week with a third in the hospital and not looking so good. Another patient had a family donate a kidney but the doctors won't sign off on it because of his age.   :(

At my unit one of the best workers has been on vacation and has stressed me out. The rest of my team is nice but very lazy. Everything has been left to me as far as cleaning, and getting machines ready, even getting patients on their treatments on time. At least some of the patients understand what I have been going through. I feel horrible when they make comments about me doing everything because they shouldn't have to see things like that. But they are more understanding with me when they get on late. I worked 50+ hours in 4 days! :stressed;

I was suppose to move this week and the house I set up to rent was rented to some one else after the landlady and I made the agreement! I now know to get it in writing. Luckily, my current landlord is allowing me to stay here until the end of the month so I can find another place.
Plus my own family is against me this week. I know of this kid that is being abused and I tried to go get him at least for the weekend and no body backed me up except my boyfriend. Pretty much because this kid is in my family and the battle lines are now drawn, I have no family left. I did talk to them today but a lot of not so nice comments were made towards me. All this and school! I'm about ready to scream or have a break down. :banghead;

Thanks so much for letting me get it all out. I just needed to talk to some one other then all those involved.

You have a kind heart and spirit.  Reserve time for yourself to recharge and take some breaks here and there.
Thanks for sharing.

I'm sorry, I can imagine how that transplant patient must be feeling right now. We have a new FA and she doesn't show up, plus they are taking workers from our center to cover others within the chain so our team is very stressed.

So sorry you have so much on your plate right now.  It's terrible about the child.  Will have you both in my prayers.

I am so sorry to hear that you are having a hard week. As far as your co-workers are concerned - get them told  :Kit n Stik; - it is not fair that you are doing all the work, you don't come across as a very confrontational person, but stand up for yourself. It isn't nice to hear that such a nice person is having to deal with so much which sounds like it could and should be resolved!

Prayers and hugs for you

Aaww, when it rains it pours doesn't it. Seems like everythings got it's weight on you right now. First ,losing someone is hard enough. You're always thinking about it, then all the other stuff too. Plus you must be tired from working  so many hours and being tired adds much to our mental stress. Trying to handle the abuse situation must be a lot on you as well. At least your boyfriend's there with you. Hope some of this can  straightened out soon. HUGS

Nothing's easy.  I hope you feel better really soon.

I just want to say how much I admire you for the work you do in general but I particularly admire you for taking a position to help a kid in need even though it has had personal consequences for you and will win you no popularity contests.  We all have to look out for vulnerable people and children are the ultimate in vulnerability.  :flower;

Being a dialysis tech never looks easy especially when you are with patients for years. I hope your moving situation sorts itself out.
