Guys, I am in tears reading these posts, it is nice that people can come on this site and put their hearts on to paper. These posts have really got to me. I am a carer and I hope my husband does not have these feelings. Yes dialysis constricts certain things in our lives but we get on with it. Yes it is scary thinking about what is going to happen, to-day, to-morrow, the shit we have to put up with but dialysis is keeping my husband alive, I love him I would not want to leave him, (well some times when he is being arsey) Strateup, you are probably having a bad day.  Your wife loves you, be glad she does.

I am 50 next month. I have known my husband 30 yrs.
Like Monrein, I have offered a number of times to allow my husband to leave, no hurt feelings-just part ways, because I have felt so badly about how ESRD has affected our relationship. Each time he has told me,"No way, no how will I ever leave you and don't EVER bring it up again." I'm betting your wife feels the same or she wouldn't be with you still. All I can suggest as that you make sure she has time of her own and provide freedom for her. It sounds like you already do.Hang in their, life is full of good surprises.
