I read that you make canela tea in one of your posts.  That's cinnamon, right?  How do you make it?

Hi Sara,  just take the cinnamon sticks and boil it in water (easy peasy lemon squeezy) ;)   and add sugar to taste... yummmmm, now i want some and i have no sticks,

I must try that.  I have lots of cinnamon sticks.  The island of Grenada is known as Isle of Spice and a friend from there brought me some (not those neat sticks you get in the US, but some looking like huge chunks of bark - which is what it is).  'canela' is spanish for cinammon.

i like the spiciness in canela....it bites my tongue when i drink it in tea form, i also put it in oatmeal, applesauce, sweet tamales, etc....it's a very nice very good spice (from the island of grenade)  :rofl;
