My dear daughter

« on: April 16, 2010, 04:51:08 PM »

I was flossing my teeth last night and I broke a piece off of my tooth and it went down my throat.
I think it's because I developed a bad habit of chewing ice ( thank you fluid restriction) and I must have cracked the tooth that already had a filling AND a root canal in it.  I hope I don't lose it. My body has been  pretty beaten up from dialysis and my teeth are no exception.  I was really bad about taking my binders when I was younger and now I'm paying for it.

We get new dental insurance next week - thank goodness.  I'll hold off till then.

sorry to hear about your tooth..at least it isn't hurting and you can wait the week! If its not too bad the dentist should be able to fix it..if not he will reccomment a crown. I got one of those last november.  :cuddle;

I broke a chunk off a molar just before Easter. A very sharp edge played havoc with my tougue so I filed it down a bit to sooth it down. Worked so well i havn't got around to making an appointment with the dentist yet.

When it comes out you can put it under your pillow and maybe get a percentage of what you would have gotten for the whole tooth.      Yay for Dental insurance.

I'm so glad to hear you'll have dental insurance because we all know how expensive dental are bills. Even with the percentage they may cover on work it still can be a lot.  This is so wired but I knew thought about the calcium and the teeth issue. Glad I know now. Hope you get your tooth fixed soon so back up to smiling full force! lol
