harassing co dialysis patient

We have this knowsy old lady at our center that is especially obsessed with me. She and I were friends at one time but when she stoll from my house I broke the friendship. Anyways this lady is always interested in my health, in fact I moved just to get away from her because I didn't want to start any trouble with her if she opened her mouth, and I also didn't want her to hear me when I talked to my neph or any of the nurses. This worked for a while but she asked to be moved, now while she isn't right beside me she's with in seeing and hearing distants of me. My dialysis center knows she has been harassing me but yet they move her to occomodate her request. I could asked to be moved again but I'm afraid she'll follow and the center will once again accomodate her request. Any ideas on what to do? I just want this lady gone from my life!

Seems to me if they work to accomidate her request, they should respect your wishes. What about you specifically request to not be seated near her ever. You're happy to move again, but so long as she's not moved to be near you. Gee, it all seems a bit crazy.

The question is maybe she's just lonely and nosy - but let's say she overhears that your meds are changing or something - what's it really going to do to you? If she wants to put her two cents in you can just ignore her I guess.

Is your concern that she knows where you live? if it bothers you that much perhaps you should discuss the situation with the unit social worker and/or administrator? They should be aware of your concerns and that you are uncomfortable around this person(for whatever reasons)... if they don't know then maybe they will do stuff like moving her because she asks for it etc.

Yes, I would tell the admin and or techs and let them know how much she bothers you.

Ask for a private consult with your neph.  They are breaking all the HIPPA rules as it is for privacy.

I would tell the center you need to be moved so that you are on the opposite end of the room from her at all times.

Haa, sorry.. had to say that. Crikey, how frustrating for you Troy.
I wouldn't have a clue on what to do, since they always seem to accomodate her. I think Bassman has the answer there, switch shifts!
