Concentrated Nutrients to slow down ESRF?

I have heard that an effective natural remedy to slow down kidney failure and ESRF
comes in the form of tablets of a high concentration of basic nutrients.
(Which naturally occurs food).
The idea seems to ben to stimulate the kidney cells into action,
so the kidneys work a little bit better for a little bit longer before Dialysis.
This treatment is not an over-the-counter-product and is very expensive.
Has anyone any experience of this?
Thank you, Kristina.

nutrients from everyday food + very expensive = scam
but go ahead and try it anyway, if you don't you'll always be wondering: what if you had?

When I was diagnosed with failing kidneys in 2003, I was told that weight and smoking had been shown to exacerbate CKD. Plus just eat normally (i.e. nothing about adding nutrients). Since then I've reduced my weight from 246lb to 192lb and stopped smoking.
Still got to stage 5 although I think I've taken somewhat longer to do so than had I still smoked and scoffed excessively.

Thank you for your input, it is very much appreciated.
Somehow I don't want to leave this here,
because there are always natural things,
like food, exercise, supplements, etc., which can
effect change, and this is widely acknowledged
among medics as well. So, I was just thinking
what effect a concentrated form of nutrients
might have on our system generally and specifically
its effect on the kidney function, that is, if the prescription
is made with proper evaluation by an authority
on that form of treatment?
Does anyone have any further ideas on this?
Thanks, Kristina.

I am always hearing about miracle nutrients and steer clear from them.
My nephrologist depends on my blood test to determine the nutrients I need. For example, she can tell by reading my results whether my protein levels, calcium levels, or vitamin D levels are right. If something is amiss, she then tells me to increase my Vitamin D or calcium, or whatever. For example, my PTH levels have gone up and my calcium and Vitamin D levels are lowering so she prescribed an active form of vit D along with D3. These vitamins are a "Concentrated Nutrient", I guess, but guided by my doctor. I live in Santa Cruz California, a health nut capital of the world. If I walk into a healthfood store, they are always pitching products that will "save" me. I choose to listen to my doctor. I also have good health insurance so that means I have good doctors to choose from. I would talk to a trusted Doctor about any supplements. You wouldn't want it to backfire on you because some products have proven to be toxic or harmful. Get a list of the ingredients and ask your doctor if you need them.
