Well Christmas was today at my house. I got to hang out with my 4 year old. Chuck the Truck rawked ! :bandance; Life is so simple at 4, I vaguely remember it lol. I hope everyone had a good Christmas, remember, no smoking, drinking or cussing for new year's heh !

So now that my dosage ot Toprol is quadrupled, there's finally a noticeable decrease in overall BP, however I keep swelling up like Elvis and I don't believe it's dietary...anyone else have any pharmaceutical ideas to reduce BP without the crazy bloat ? Been eating more red meat, but unless it's a cumulative effect, it shouldn't be causing a 3+ kilo swell.

Any ideas would be awesome.

It can take several weeks for Toprol to be fully effective. Have they also prescribed a diuretic (water pill) if you're still urinating? Otherwise you may have to reassess your dry weight so adequate fluid is removed.

Yeah, they just put a line on me today and re-evaluated my dryweight. It's up a couple of kilos, at least I can force myself to eat more food now, I didn't have an appetite when all this began.  Been on the Toprol since March, the new increases just began a month ago, but having to quadruple the dose to see a marginal drop is pretty drastic. Oh well, now I'm just down to the migraines during and after the cycling. It's not blood glucose related, I ran a series of tests for a few cycles, oddly, no matter what my start glucose is (unless it's under 90) it only drops 40 mg/dl during treatment and hovers at the new level. ( pretty cool !) So I try to have it levelled at 160 prior to going in and then I don't have to worry about a mid-treatment crash. They added Lisinopril to the mix this week...so now I'm up to like 4 daily BP meds plus an extra at night and a ton of slide on top of the scheduled insulin. Good thing I play with meds at work or I would have probably killed myself on accident with all the new meds/changes lol.

I'll keep ya updated on what the Lisinopril brings about.
