My fistula is in the upper arm and is 1 yr old. I've been using it for 8 mos. I can't tell any difference in either arm. I wish I could get a pic to show up but it won't. :Kit n Stik; all you can see are the 2 spots thaat are the buttonholes.

Well, it could.

My neph told me never to lift anything heavier than 10 pounds with my fistula arm--lifting heavy weights could cause the fistula to clot.

Talk with your neph before weight lifting with your fistula arm.

I noticed my fistula arm looks a tad bit bigger. I think because it's swollen or something all the time? Or it might be because I had that arm, basically, cut all the way open to move the fistula to the surface. That's probably it. The scar on the side of my arm is pulled really tight, it hurts.

Mine is bigger which sucks when you have to buy clothes.. I'm fat already, but one arm being bigger than the other poses a problem with a lot of longer sleeved shirts for me. Also I have a lot of tiny little veins around the surface, even in the lower part of the arm even though the fistula is in the upper arm.

Yes,right arm is bigger. Sleeves on tops are a bit tighter on my fistula arm. Could be because of all that squeeesing that ball.
