:oI have been on dialysis for 10 years, after my sisters transplanted kidney failed it lasted for 2.5 years we were a perfect match and i was supposed to have it for 10 years minium, but when the gave me a her kidney they messed up badly. But as you all know the medical profession are very good at covering their tracks and backs!!!. So i have endured haemo now for 10 years and i am realllly verrrry tired of it!!. All my arms have been butchered by incompetent surgeons. I now rely on a central line in my chest, which they say should last 2 years!!!. I always feel tired , i run a house and kid and i also work parttime so the kid can have things!! Plus it gives me purpose otherwise i think i would sink into deep deep depression, which seems to be where my husband is permenently due to my health. For the first 5 years he thought he could cure me, now he has given up. Well there is so much more i can share for those who want to know i am happy to share

Hi Endure,
Sounds like you are in the right place. One of those islands for misfit toys!
I would like to know more about why your sister's kidney failed after only 2.5 years?

Welcome to the site, I am sorry for all the crappy things that has happened to you and I hope this site will become a place for you to feel free to express yourself, rant and vent. Bottomline is kidney failure sucks. You mentioned you have a kid and a husband so in that regard you are lucky to have a support network. Some people are living with kidney failure alone and that is difficult. People in our situation need a purpose or it is very easy to fall into deep depression. I have been down that hole myself and it is very hard to climb out of.
We look forward to reading your posts, Wecome.
