Goofynina and Epoman - Gone But Not Forgotten

WWW
« on: October 04, 2008, 03:49:59 AM »

I am noticing that many people are having icon errors.  These usually occur when you don't leave a space between the icon and the next word.
Example:
 :welcomesign;to our community
 :welcomesign; to our community

So please make sure that you have that space and it will avoid the icon errors.

Some of you must be wondering why the admins and mods always put a note to show that they made a correction.  This is a stipulation from Epoman.  He was very wary of censorship and since every time you edit a post, a note is at the bottom of the posting, he didn't want members to feel that admins and mods could just tamper with their posts freely.  So whenever we make a change, we make it clear what we did.

Goofynina and Epoman - Gone But Not Forgotten

I must confess that, as a teacher of English, I am often tempted to correct spelling and/or punctuation, but that would be against Epoman's commandment!  If a post is really awfully bad, we will send a PM and ask the person to deal with it.

Let me encourage you all to use the spellcheck and tidy up your posts.  Do it for Epoman!
[these words - spellcheck and Epoman - didn't pass the test!!!] so I added them to the dictionary!

If you see a correction that says "smiley tag error" This is the mistake that was made.
