Last weekend, went on a houseboat with six good friends. I had been hanging out for this break for so long. It was my suggestion to go and I booked the houseboat. What a  :banghead; disaster! Nothing on the boat worked and we even got stranded on the low tide. Moreover, I was sick for all of Saturday. There is not much place to hide on a houseboat while you vomit. I kept everyone awake on Friday night with my constant chaffing.  :stressed; Kidney disease!!

I do feel b. awful for mucking up everyone's holiday.

I know you can't do much but I really need to vent my spleen. Thanks for reading.

Oh poor Murf.... Let me give you a big  :cuddle;...

It's awful to be vomiting anyway, but to be sick on your trip is awful...

Hope you're feeling better very soon, and on the plus side, the trip will be memorable  ;D

God bless...

Oh you poor thing.  I'm sure everyone understood that you can't really help your situation.  Its not like you got drunk and then subjected them all to that.   Take care!

Everybody starts out with something that sounds like a really fun idea that turns into a disaster. On boats, certain people get seasick. It's a fact.  I don't think you got sick because of ESRD. (I don't really know) I think that you got seasick. I had a friend that was a "fisherman" he had his own boat, (a small one)  and everything. We went on a company fishing expidition on a big sport fishing boat into the Gulf of Mexico (a two day affair) and he was seasick the whole time. The look on his face was frightening. It would be my guess that you are one of those people. Don't worry about it! Do something else next time. I'm sorry that you had such a miserable time on what promised to be such a good time.

Murf, I can definitely empathize!  Four days into my 15 day Hawaiian vacation, I had my first ever cloudy PD bag.  Next day we landed in Hilo, where they whisked me away to the Hilo Medical Center for 10 days.  After flying me back to the mainland, I spent the next 5 days in a hospital here.  All I got to see of Hawaii was the tops of the palm trees from the ambulance window!  Hang in there.

I don't think I got sea sick on a river boat! I quite often feel nauseous as one nurse explained, The machine takes out 65% of the toxins, We have to manage the rest.

Murf, I am sorry this happened.  That is something I always worry about when we go anywhere.  I don't like visiting relatives because I don't want them to hear me throwing up.   I am pre-dialysis, but my neph has explained my vomiting is my body getting rid of toxins.  Again, I hate that it messed up your trip.  It sounds like it would have been fun.    :cuddle;
