When you are ill, as we all are, it is easy to attach yourself to anything that will" cure" you. Common sense tells you that it won't work. If it did, as Silverhead said the big companys would already have it, and so would we, if we could afford it.

What!? Those footpads don't work? I just ordered a case of them. I was sure I'd be cured by next week. (jk) Really, if there was a miracle cure, why would any of us be posting here?

Wait a minute!  I take the DHEA for menopause/hot flashes/insomnia and weight gain!!!  The bottle said it would help... Is it NOT going to get better.  I won't believe it.  I won't.   :banghead;

Snake oil does cure some illnesses some of the time. I guess when it does, it's a miracle!

Seriously, the placebo effect is well documented, having been monitored as part of drug trials. The control group getting the placebo instead of the true drug still get a benefit over those getting nothing. Indeed, the placebo effect is so effective that drug trials have to avoid its distortion by "double-blinding" whereby neither the trail doctors nor the patients know if they are getting the real drug or the control.

Having said that, there's no cure for the Grim Reaper.

I have heard of acai berry having healing properties and being very good for you, however, I doubt it will cure kidney disease or cancer. I doubt theres anything that will cure eaither of these diseases. If there were a prduct that could cure these diseases, trust that this world would have already put it on the market and exposed it all over television and newspapers so they could make money off of it. We live in a very money hungry world and if there was something this groundbreaking it would be advertised and higly priced.
