I am having a problem with the dialysis chair.  Sometimes they do this flip back thing.  When I move my legs, sometimes the chair does this flip thing and lands my on my shoulders and neck.  I am having alot of pain in my neck and shoulders.  Then when I am flipped so far back it is hard to get the chair to sit up.  I have pulled the muscles in my side trying to get the chair to go back where it is suppose to be.  These muscles have been sore for  three weeks.  They are not healing.  They are very sore whenever I move.  They make sleeping a very difficult thing.  The director of my unit says they are getting new cushions for the chairs.. These do need to be replaced they are torn and taped many times.  But this is not going to help my problem.  Does anyone have any idea of what can be done to improve this problem.  I am almost ready to look for a new unit.

The old chairs at my unit could have the backs locked in a reclined position. One was not working right and I had them put it close to the wall so it couldnt do the flip thing, but they had to stop doing that because when I crashed they had to recline me all the way. Hope you figure it out, It really startled me when it first did that tome. The nurses laughed and called me a newbie.

I bring a seat cushion and a pillow.  If I need my chair adjusted I ask a tech to help because I have cramped trying to fight the chair into position.  The techs don't mind helping in my center.

I am so glad I am in a bed ow for the eight hours I am on dialysis.  I was in the uncomfortable recliners for ten years.
