Hi Everyone!
I am finally home from the hospital, had my non-working transplanted kidney removed last week.  The surgery went well, but the recovery has been rough!  I was sick before I went in so that didn't help.
The weirdest thing is now I am peeing, just a little.  My native kidneys have somehow kicked in a little bit!
Well, I am kind of drugged, and tired, will be on and off for the next week or so.  Hope you all are doing well.  Looks like I have a lot to catch up on!

pee is good!!!! That's like a little unexpected bonus. Your body's way of saying sorry for the rough recovery!!!!

Welcome back and glad the surgery at least went OK. Take your time getting back into the swing of things :)

Best wishes to you! I had my first transplanted kidney removed a few years ago too.  :cuddle;

I have Alport's Syndrome. My kidneys failed when I was 14 and I was on PD for five years before receiving a kidney transplant from my mother. That kidney failed in 2004 and I've been back on PD ever since. I am undergoing treatment for my high antibodies at Cedars-Sinai medical center. I had a kidney transplant on June 10, 2008. My boyfriend was the donor.
