Goofynina and Epoman - Gone But Not Forgotten

WWW
« on: September 13, 2009, 07:07:44 AM »

This is becoming totally frustrating!  I had an operation on my graft some weeks ago to try and stop the pain I was feeling from the time the lidocaine (which I had to start having again) wore off until the end of the session.  Now there is another aneurysm starting in that same area.
At the end of my dialysis session on Friday I was given a letter stating that I am scheduled for surgery on Thursday, Sept 17.  I go in at 7.00 a.m. (after fasting) and hopefully will be out by evening.  I don't know where they are going to re-route it this time.  This will be about 4th operation on my graft. All of them have been this year.  My graft did well from 2005 to 2008 and then this stuff started.
Thanks, my IHD family, I know you will be with me through this as well. :grouphug;

Bajanne,

I am praying for "four" being your lucky number.  That graft just better realize that it just needs to work!

I hate access problems. They put three stents into my graft and the anueyrism went away.

I have Alport's Syndrome. My kidneys failed when I was 14 and I was on PD for five years before receiving a kidney transplant from my mother. That kidney failed in 2004 and I've been back on PD ever since. I am undergoing treatment for my high antibodies at Cedars-Sinai medical center. I had a kidney transplant on June 10, 2008. My boyfriend was the donor.

 :thx; for all your caring thoughts and prayers.  It is all over now.  I arrived at the surgical ward at 7.00 a.m. and my surgery started about 8.00.   It was all finished about 11.30 and I went home at 2.30.  My graft was re-routed.  I hoped they wouldn't have to use my other arm or put it in my leg.  So far so good.  The doctor said that it would be usable in 3 weeks.
Not only my graft was fixed, but we were able to pick up  my computer which has been in the shop for nearly a month! the guy told me to start thinking about replacing it in the near future.

Fingers crossed Bajanne hope all is going well. I had to smile about your computer, if mine was down I would be going mad, it would be like my right arm had been  chopped off.
