I quit drinkng in 1990. Previous to quitting, I could get some weed and be fully entertained and not have to drink.
(I was an alcohoholic) The problem was, I would begin to run out and I would invariably go to the liquor store and get some beer/whiskey/ or wine and be right back were I started. I have pain in my joints; hips, knees, ankles, thumbs. i take several "pain pills" tylenol, ibuprophen, etc. The side effects makr me feel almost as bad  as the pain itself, upset stomach, a certain tylenl feeling, etc..
My state, New Mexico, has a medical marijuana program. In my life, I have very few responsibilitiess, having a prescription I would never run out and have to resort to drinking. I really think that it could help me with my pain.
I never had a problem with weed, other than trying to get it. I think that it would be a good fit.  8)

Wanna hear my  :twocents;

I am a big advocate for Marijuana.  Legal would be best but medical is ok as well.

Alcohol ruins many many lives.  Kills many many people each year tears families apart ect ect ect.

Weed.  Well you smoke a little and chill out.  it doesn't make one do stupid things unless laughing has become stupid?  It doesn't have the side effects of booze.

I could go on and on but you get my point.

Funny how something grown naturally is illegal but man made PILLS with side effects from itching to death is oh so legal.

We have spent countless BILLIONS battling weed.  Why?? Cause a few politicans said WAY back that it was a bad thing.

Get your weed and let your pains go away.

you get caught with a bag of weed you go to jail for a long time
You get drunk and cause a five car pileup  ruin many lives you get a DUI spend one night in jail.

It is so screwed up.

It is like rape almost.
I like to use this as an example
You rape a girl and get 30 years in prison.
You rape and kill the same girl you get 10 to 15 years in prison.
we are so backwards.  Or maybe it is just in jersey??
Makes no sense but our voices are small in this land of freedom.

I hope you get your medical weed.

If you get some weed you might want to look up on the internet about how to cook with it  (you have to make pot butter or something I think because the THC is fat soluble) only because the smoking part can be hard on the lungs.  With bad kidneys you don't want to end up with bad lungs from smoking or a bad liver from drinking or a bad heart from a bad diet etc.  Same goes for over the counter meds or even prescriptions...so many things can damage our vital organs. Also, if you want a transplant you may want to NOT mention that you like or do weed because the medical community has some preconceptions about "drug use".

There are some other threads on this site that also talk about this issue so you could do a search.
