Marcus,
I am also a newbie. I am so glad that you joined this board. I have a 14 (almost 15) year old daughter that has been on dialysis for 14 months and an 18 year old daughter whose kidneys are failing rapidly. I am guessing that you were 15 when you had your transplant. Do you have a system in place to remember to take your meds? I would love to hear about your experience as a teen going through dialysis and transplant.

Thanks to everyone for such a warm welcome to the site. It is so cool to know that no matter what stage we are all at in our journey with our kidney issues (whether it be pre transplant or even post transplant) that a site like this has been made as a way for us to vent our issues and lend support to one another. I will soon be posting my transplant story, which will be in great detail, over on the "transplant stories" thread and will be titled simply "My Story". I look forward to meeting many many great people of all walks of life on here and want everyone to know that you can contact me via personal message or even feel free to use the email posted in my profile to contact me with questions or anything at all and I will gladly use my experience to shed some light and hope to those of you on here who may be dealing with kidney ailments or dialysis or even in the process of getting a transplant. This experience has truly changed me and my outlook on life and I look forward to helping others in their journey. May you all be well.
